Qualified under Military Specification MIL-PRF-9000K is a petroleum based low viscosity hydraulic and preservative fluid for aircraft and ordinance use. F9001 formulation is a blend of selected petroleum base oils with additives to give the product, exceptionally good viscosity-temperature characteristics, good anti-wear properties, controlled rubber swell, good shear stability and excellent oxidation resistance. It has an excellent corrosion preventative property and provides a high degree of detergency to maintain clean system.

Intended for use in aircraft, ordinance and other general hydraulic uses, and for preserving hydraulic components. The Oil is used for testing and acceptance of hydraulic components intended for use in MIL-H-5606 services. It is used in hydraulic systems of missile ground support equipment where its preservative properties make it particularly suitable for long periods of inactivity encountered in this type of service
