QUESTION:
Is this type of full synthetic available in iso32? My equipment spec calls for a HVI AW32 hydraulic oil; Would like to use a full synthetic. Use is on a towable manlift, so the hydraulic system never gets very warm, but we are located on the Gulf Coast, so it never gets real cold here either. If iso 32 is available, is it reasonable to blend 32 & 46 to get a slightly higher viscosity without going all the way to 46?
posted by Clifford Rabalais
ANSWER:
If it does not get really cold we would definitely recommend the ISO 46 version. The 32 is not available yet but will be later this year.

ANSWER:
Yes, if the application can switch grades. In 99% of applications you can, with the exception of some special instruments. Otherwise, you are good.
