TRIAX EURO LX 0W-40

High TBN, Friction Modified Full Synthetic for Gasoline European Cars

TRIAX Euro LX 0W-40 Full Synthetic is probably one of the most advanced and highest performing engine oils we have ever formulated. This product has the highest level of PAO (Group VI Synthetic) ever found in an engine oil. It is a high saps, ultra stable formulation, it contains state-of-the-art Molybdenum and high phosphate retention ZDDP friction modifiers built into the oil to provide superb anti-wear protection. Its shear stability is unmatched through the use of high grade, shear stable copolymers and viscosity stabilizers. This oil is designed to offer the widest operational viscosity range, while protecting engine parts like nothing else, together with ridiculously long drain intervals of 30,000 miles or more. This product is recommended for any gasoline vehicle which requires a 0W-40 or a 5W-40 viscosity grade oil, including BMW, Audi, Porsche, Ferrari, VW, Maserati and many others.

QUESTION:
I have a 2018 Colorado DuramaxDiesel with 59,000 mi and an extended warranty thru 126,000. My truck is stock, and up till now, I have used either your 5W30 Ultra Euro VX or Castrol Edge 5W30 Dexos2. OEM specs for this motor are either 5W30 or 0W40 Dexos2. I am considering moving to a 0W40 Mobil1 ESP Dexos2 or your Euro VX 0W40, but your product information only mentions "gasoline engines", whereas the Ultra Euro VX 0W40 specifically mentions diesel AND gasoline engines. The words in the OEM manual stat '...you may use substitute engine oil that meets ACEA C3 of the appropriate viscosity grade". Plz advise remembering that I do not want to do anything with regard to motor oils to invalidate my extended warranty OR to do anything to use inappropriate oils in the motor.

ANSWER:
Our Euro VX 0W-40 was converted to a non C3 version. You can use Euro VX 5W-30 or Euro VX 5W-40. Euro diesel oils can all be used in gasoline engines, not the other way around.
