Seems like good stuff. Changed the hydro oil in my zero turn. Everything seems to work good and a bit quieter

Very good hydro static oil
Have a zero turn with 67 hours equipped with HydroGear ZT-3100 hydros. I figured I would do the first hydro oil change on the machine. Original factory fill oil came out very clean, not dark at all, so I wasn't expecting much of an improvement with the TRIAX 20w50......I was wrong! This stuff made a tremendous improvement. Completed the fill and purge process, and the hydros were dramatically quieter! I thought the whine noise when it was new was just how they sounded. The factory fill oil was definitely NOT full synthetic. This TRIAX fluid far surpasses any factory OE spec 20w50 hydro oil that you would find on most OPE dealer shelves. The hydros are more responsive as well, seem to operate smoother and a just a touch quicker. Didn't realize fluid could make such a difference. TRIAX Trans Zero 20w50 is definitely some quality oil. Very pleased with this product.
PRODUCT QUESTION
To add a question you must:
QUESTION:
If I change my zero-turn from standard 20/50 oil to the TZ synthetic, do I need to do anything special to clean out the old oil, besides just draining and changing the filter?
posted by shaffield bill
ANSWER:
You should only need to drain the oil and replace the filter. If there is a little left there is should not be an issue.

QUESTION:
What is the viscosity in Centistokes? Is this a Group 3 or Group 4 Synthetic?
posted by Jerome Wuthrich
ANSWER:
Its a 20W-50, variable viscosity and its a mix of group 3 and group 4.
